Our team is closely monitoring all dogs at our facility for symptoms of the highly contagious disease that is affecting our furry ones in South Florida, Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex (CIRDC). We haven’t detected any cases at our facility. We are extremely strict with our vaccination requirements, which include Bordetella, a vaccine that helps protect against key pathogens causing Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex (CIRDC).

Additionally, we are conducting additional sanitation efforts and have protocols in place to manage any potential cases, should they arise, to minimize risks.
CIRDC is a disease causing acute or chronic inflammation in the upper respiratory system. Sometimes it is referred to as “kennel cough” or “canine cough.” Symptoms include coughing and nasal discharge (with or without blood), watery eyes, retching and gagging and lack of appetite, according to Miami-Dade County Animal Services. Some dogs may be asymptomatic.

Contact your vet if you notice any of these symptoms in your dog.

Let’s keep our furry ones safe!
