October is here, and it’s a special time for dog lovers everywhere—it’s Adopt A Shelter Dog Month! At Fit & Go Pets, we’re passionate about the happiness and well-being of all dogs, whether they’re part of our daily pack or waiting to find their forever homes. To celebrate this month of giving back, we want to shine a spotlight on the ways our daycare is committed to supporting rescue dogs and the incredible work of local shelters.
Supporting Our Community with the "Rescue Guest" Program
We know that transitioning from a shelter environment to a forever home can be overwhelming for many dogs, especially those who have experienced trauma or have been in the shelter system for a long time. That’s why we introduced our Rescue Guest Program, which offers complimentary or discounted daycare services to dogs in need of socialization and care.
Through this program, we partner with local rescue organizations to bring these pups into our facility, allowing them to engage in healthy play, meet other dogs, and experience a safe, loving environment. Our staff works closely with these dogs to ensure they’re comfortable, confident, and happy, helping to make the transition to their new homes a little easier. Plus, it’s a great way for them to burn off energy, practice good behavior, and even meet potential adopters through our network of dog lovers.
"Rescue Stories": Sharing Hope, One Dog at a Time
In addition to our Rescue Guest Program, we’re excited to share the impact of our Rescue Stories initiative. Every month, we feature a rescue dog who has come through our doors, highlighting their journey from shelter life to the loving homes they deserve. These stories are close to our hearts and give our community the opportunity to learn more about the challenges that rescue dogs face, as well as the joy they bring to their adoptive families.

We’re proud to have played a small role in these heartwarming transformations and to share their journeys with you.
